The highly robust and compact EZ-Mag is a customer-oriented Magnetic Flow Meter. It is capable of simultaneous temperature and flow monitoring. The design flexibility allows for a wide range of applications including food & beverage, wastewater, pharmaceutical, marine, municipal water & water management, batching …etc . Whether installed in-house or on a vehicle, you can be assured that it is up to the task. The all-new & patented design has a solid interior; allowing for industrial flanged adapters to be bolted directly onto the flow tube body – providing unmatched flexibility.
Our Turbine flow meter range speaks for itself. The design has survived since the 1970s. With the unique open-bearing design, the liquid media is allowed to circulate thru the bearings, eliminating unwanted deposits and allowing for the free flow of cleaning agents during CIP.
Turbine Flow Meters
Our Turbine Flow Meters have a unique open-bearing design that allows the measured media to flow freely thru the bearings; providing continuous lubrication. This eliminates unwanted deposits and allows for a free flow of cleaning agents during CIP. This design provides added lubrication of the bearings and substantially increases the lifetime of the Flow Meter.
The Processautomatic Turbine flow meter range was first designed in the 1970s. This design has survived well in a highly competitive environment. Our Turbine Flow Meters are made with extremely small tolerances for error. This allows us to provide replacement Internals to existing Turbine Flow Meters with unimpaired accuracy. This way, our customers can enjoy the same benefits of their existing flow meter – even after replacing worn-out internals. All Processautomatic Turbine flow meters and separate Internals, are delivered with 5-point calibration certificates, manual, and warranty.
The Turbine flow meter (axial turbine) was invented by Reinhard Woltman and is an accurate and reliable flow meter for liquids and gases. It consists of a flow tube with end connections and a magnetic multi-bladed free-spinning rotor (impeller) mounted inside; in line with the flow. The rotor is supported by a shaft that rests on internally mounted supports.
The Supports in Process Automatics Turbine Flow Meters are designed to also act as flow straighteners, stabilizing the flow and minimizing the negative effects of turbulence. The Supports also house the unique open bearings; allowing for the measured media to lubricate the bushes – prolonging the flow meters life span. The Supports are fastened by locking rings (circlips) on each end.

The principle of operation for the magnetic flowmeter is based on Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction.
- An electrical current (I) is applied to a coil package inside the flowmeter.
- As a result, a magnetic field (B) is created across the metering pipe.
When a conductive liquid flows through the magnetic field, a small voltage (u) is induced. This voltage is proportional to the velocity of the flow and is accurately measured by two stainless steel electrodes mounted opposite each other inside the metering pipe. The two electrodes are connected to an advanced electronic input circuitry which processes the signal and in turn feeds it to the a microprocessor inside the electronics module. The microprocessor then calculates the volumetric flow and controls the various outputs on the terminal board.
