KSK Kobold Variable Area Flowmeter-Plastic

KOBOLD KSK plastic low-volume flow meters, or rotameters, and flow switches operate on the basis of the well-known variable area principle. The media flows upward through a conical measuring tube. The float is lifted by the flowing media and indicates the instantaneous flow rate on the scale attached to the flow meter. These are constructed of all-plastic materials with bodies made of polyamide or polysulfone to handle aggressive media.

KSM Kobold Variable Area Flowmeters and Switches-Plastic

The KOBOLD KSM series plastic variable area flow meter with flow switch is an excellent choice for applications with aggressive media. There are no metal parts contacting the fluid. Measuring tubes are polyamide or polysulfone with other wetted parts made of PVDF, PVC, and EPDM. These rotameters are equipped with a scale for water or air and a percentage scale, as well as two adjustable markers and a PVC glue connection with a cap nut.

KSR/SVN Kobold Variable Area-Low Volume-Flow Switch

KOBOLD micro flow switches models KSR and SVN, operate on the same principle as a float-type or variable area flow indicator. Provided that the flow rate is above a preselected minimum, the float is raised from its seat and travels the full distance to its upper stop. The SVN utilizes an inductive proximity switch that transmits a signal to a suitable power supply/relay module, such as our KFA or KFD series, triggering a user-specified signaling or switching sequence.

S – All-Metal Flow Switch for Liquids or Gases

The KOBOLD S-Series flow switches operate on the well-known variable-area principle, but without the use of the open conical measuring tube. Instead, these flow switches use a cylindrical control tube with a conical groove along its axis, which makes for a very compact design. This metal flow switch can be used for continuous monitoring of liquids and gases to ensure that excessive or insufficient flow does not result in damage to equipment.

KDG / KDF-2 – Micro Flow Meter and Switch

KOBOLD KDG/KDF-2 micro flow meters with switches operate on the variable-area, or rotameter, float principle and are designed for the measurement of very low gas and liquid flows. Flow can be set exactly within the measuring range using the integral precision metering valve. All ranges on this rotameter can be optionally fitted with 1 or 2 adjustable inductive proximity switches which may be configured to identify certain flow conditions.

Kobold Variable Area Flowmeter – Class Cone

The operation of the Kobold URM model flow meter/monitor is based on the suspended float principle. It is used for measuring the flow rates in closed pipeline systems. The media flows upward through a glass measuring cone that becomes progressively wider at the top. When media flow is present, the float rises and clearly indicates the respective flow rate on the scale provided on the measuring cone.

URK – Glass Cone Variable Area Flow Meter w/Flange Mounting

The operation of the Kobold URK model flow meter/monitor is based on the suspended float principle. It is used for measuring the flow rates in closed pipeline systems. The media flows upward through a glass measuring cone that becomes progressively wider at the top. When media flow is present, the float rises and clearly indicates the respective flow rate on the scale provided on the measuring cone.

USR – Glass Tube Variable Area Flow Meters with Manifold Valves

The KOBOLD USR Glass Tube Variable Area Flow meters with Manifold Valves for liquids operate on the variable-area (suspended float) principle: that is, the installation position is vertical and the direction of flow is from bottom to top. For centralized flow measurement, found in applications like cooling systems, we recommend manifold flow meters for convenient and efficient installation.

UVR – UTR – Glass Tube Variable Area Flow Meter w/Needle Valve

The KOBOLD flow meters and switches, models UVR and UTR for liquids and air operations on the variable-area (suspended float) principle: that is, the installation position is vertical and the direction of flow is from bottom to top. These rotameters have been designed as simple, thus economical measuring systems.

UTS Kobold Variable Area Flowmeter

The economical KOBOLD UTS flow meter is designed to monitor gas burners (e. g. oxygen, hydrogen, methane, inert gases). It works via the suspended float principle and is also known as a rotameter. The media enters through a 4 mm hole within the M18x1.5 connection and exits through six holes concentrically positioned around the inlet hole. This special connection is made especially for the UTS and is also provided with a unique seal.

Kobold KDSi Variable Area Flowmeter

The KDS all-metal, low-volume variable-area flow meter, also known as a rotameter, is designed for flow measurement of suitable liquids or gases. It provides indication of the current flow rate in volume or mass per unit of time. The rotameter consists of a conical stainless steel measuring tube and a vertically movable float. The valve for setting the flow rate is built-in (only for KDS-K/C). The media flows from bottom to top through the metering tube of the flow meter.

Kobold SWK Variable Area Switch Low Volume

KOBOLD SWK flow meters and flow switches operate on the suspended-float principle, but without the use of a conical measuring tube. A float moves in the direction of flow against the force of a spring in a cylindrical guide tube. The float contains a permanent magnet, which operates an adjustable setpoint contact mounted on the outside. This rotameter and switch is compact and can be mounted in any orientation.

UMR – UXR – URA – Glass Tube Variable Area Flow Meter

The KOBOLD UMR, UXR, and URA flow meters for liquids and air operations on the variable-area (suspended float) principle. Various float designs allow for a wide overall flow range. These rotameters have been designed as simple and economical measuring systems. The instruments are available with or without a needle valve.
