Kem Kuppers VTE 02

The carrier frequency pickups detect the r.p.m. of KEM flow meters. Each passing of a tooth will be detected contactless and produces a pulse at the output. Therefore each pulse corresponds to a fixed volume and the frequency corresponds to the volume flow. Versions with Push Pull output or NAMUR output (option: open collector output npn) are available.

Kem Kupplers’ VTE 02

The pickup is screwed into the meter via a thread M14×1.5 (option UNF ½”-20). Accordingly the VTE 02 fit on all KEM measuring cells.

Application

The VTE 02 are carrier frequency pickups for all ZHM, HM, SRZ and LFM. Due to the wide frequency range (0.5 to 5,000 Hz) they work with all sizes.

For applications in harzardous areas intrinsically safe versions with ATEX and IECEx certification for zone 1 and cCSAus certification for zone 0 and division 1 are available.

Kem Kuppers VTE 03The VTE 03 are directly plugged and screwed. There are suitable versions for all ZHM 01/1 up to ZHM 04.

The VTE 04 are directly plugged and screwed. There are suitable versions for ZHM01/1 and ZHM 01/2 in cartridge construction, as well as for the LFM.

Kem Kuppers VTE Ex

The carrier frequency pickups detect the r.p.m. of KEM flow meters. Each passing of a tooth will be detected contactless and produces a pulse at the output. Therefore each pulse corresponds to a fixed volume and the frequency corresponds to the volume flow. Suitable for the application there are versions with different outputs available: 3-wire npn, NAMUR, open collector and 3-wire pnp (not available for the Ex version).

The pickup is screwed into the meter via a thread M14×1.5 (option UNF ½”-20). Accordingly the VTE Ex fits on all KEM measuring cells. The electrical connection takes place via screw terminals in the housing.

Kem Kuppers VTD 03

The integral carrier-frequency pickups detect the r.p.m. of KEM flow meters. Each passing of a tooth will be detected contactless and produce a pulse at the output. Accordingly each pulse corresponds to a fixed volume and the frequency corresponds to the volume flow. The two output signals, phase-shifted by 90°, offer the possibility of a true forward / backward detection. Alternatively the VTD 03 can give out the double frequency and a direction signal as well.
