About COMAC CAL

COMAC CAL – Measuring and Sensor Technology dates back to 1987 when a special group under a housing cooperative came into existence to deal with the development of heat meters for residential buildings.

Since then, a wide range of measuring systems and sensors have been developed and manufactured to offer solutions based on measured quantities or measuring principles. The in-house development center solves the most varied specific problems and helps find out the best starting point for the client’s tasks.

Thanks to the establishment of the authorized Metrological and Calibration Centre, we are capable of testing meters and sensors and overall solutions designed by our team of workers. Our customers come from all sorts of industries, including petrochemical, food processing, water management, power engineering, or mining with the appropriate ATEX.

Inductive flow meter flow 40 serves, thanks to its certification, primarily for the business measurement of the number of liquids delivered. It is characterized by high operational reliability, accuracy, and stability of metrological parameters. It is used for use in the water industry eg in sewage treatment plants or in sewage networks as well as in industrial water distribution networks etc. It can also be used in the food and chemical industry for special media.

The inductive flow meter Flow 38 with a display unit in several versions is designed for a wide range of measurements of electrically conductive fluids in various industries. Inductive flow meter FLOW 38 may be used in the most diverse industrial branches such as water management (water treatment plants, control measurements in nodal points), agriculture (irrigation systems, food processing (diaries, breweries, etc.), paper industry, power engineering or mining. Last but not least, these are batching systems in the most diverse technologies where a display unit is needed.

inductive flow meter FLOW 33 without a display unit is an ideal solution for customers who need pulse or current signals from the meter and the display unit is not then necessary. The FLOW 33 may be used in the most diverse industrial branches such as water management (water treatment plants), food processing (diaries, breweries, etc.), paper industry, power engineering, or mining.

Thanks to the high sample rate of the test signal, the flow meter reaches very high repeatability (0.2%) which is utilized with advantage in batching process for both quick and small batches, e.g. in filling machines (carousels). Another typical application is the transmission of instant flow rate or volumetric flow quantity to the superior PLC without the necessity for a local display unit in all sorts of technology.

The meter is made in a very robust construction, and that is why it is suitable in heavy industry where long service life under the heaviest operating conditions is required.

FS 20 – 1× status output and 1× current output (depending on flow velocity)

If the flow rate drops below the user specified limit, the status output will be changed. The flow rate is indicated by ten LEDs within the measurement range and you can select the boundary for making/breaking the contact in the same graduation. The measuring cycle takes from 4sec to 8sec with recommended measurement range 4 ÷ 150 cm/sec.If the piping is empty, the sensor behaves identically as in the case of zero flow rate.

The flow switch for liquids is made in four versions. These are as follows:

  • FS 10Ex – 1× status output (depending on flow velocity)
  • FS 11Ex – 2× status output (depending on flow velocity)
  • FS 15Ex – 2× status output (1× depending on flow velocity and 1× on temperature)
  • FS 20Ex – 1× status output and 1× current output (depending on flow velocity)

The operational status is displayed using 10 LEDs. If the flow rate drops below the user-specified limit (after exceeding it in some cases), the status output will be changed. The flow rate is indicated by ten LEDs within the measurement range and you can select the boundary for making/breaking the contact in the same graduation.

The measuring cycle takes from 4sec to 8sec with a recommended measurement range of 4 ÷ 150 cm/sec (for the default setting, the measurement range is 4 ÷ 400cm/sec). If the piping is empty, the sensor behaves identically as in the case of zero flow rate. We offer two standard lengths of the bar-type sensor according to piping ID at the installation site.

The customer may select a bar-type sensor 65 mm or 125 mm in length as needed. If the flow rate of the medium is to be monitored in a pipe smaller than DN25 (or the flow velocity is below the sensor range for the given pipe diameter), it is advantageous to use an adapter block with the corresponding flow velocity and thereby ensure the proper functioning and maintain the installation conditions.

The adapters are designed for the short version of a 65mm sensor with the use of a direct neck with G½“ pipe thread. Individual designs of adapter blocks are as follows:

It is designed for flow rate monitoring of thermally conductive liquids. It is a simple flow velocity sensor with one or two switching contacts whereas each of them may have different flow velocity making/breaking points. Due to its construction, it is designed primarily as an OEM device used for the substitution of mechanical flow switches in industrial processes.
