Types of Nivelco Level Switch

Nivelco has a big range for Level Switches, such as :

Nivelco NIVOFLOAT NL–100 Float Level Switch

The NIVOFLOAT NL–100 type float level switch featuring mercury-free contact is suitable for level switching of drinking water, raw water or polluted liquids with low solid content. The double-chambered float and the sealing of the cable outlet provide hermetic sealing and water-proof operation.

The NIVOFLOAT NL–100 is floating on the level of the measured liquid because its relative density is less than the water. The level switching is done when the contact reaches the ±45° switching angle. The switching differential of the level switch is adjustable by the position of the counterweight on the cable. The level switches should be arranged appropriately in case of multi-level switching tasks to avoid undesired tangling of the cables.

Nivelco NIVOCONT K Conductive Level Switch

NIVOCONT K level switches, based on the conductivity principle, can be applied to liquids with conductivity higher than 10 ?S/cm. For detecting the level, probes are immersed into the medium. These probes (and the tank wall if conductive) serve as contacts of an electric circuit. Probes can be of single or multiple rod versions. A maximum of 4 probe rods can fit in the multiple probe socket with an additional reference probe if tank wall is not conductive.

The probe length should be in accordance with the level to be detected. When the liquid level reaches the probe, it will create a change in the conductivity of the loop and the output relay will be activated. The device senses the conductivity difference between the probes and the reference probe. The KLP separators should be used at every 0.5 m to provide appropriate distance between the probes.

Nivelco NIVOMAG MK-200 Magnetic Float Level Switches

The NIVOMAG MK-200 series magnetic float level switches are used for level point detection of liquids in all type of vessels. Operation without external power, side or top mounting, wide temperature ranges, various process connections, stainless steel wetted parts and Ex versions make it applicable in the industrial chemistry, pharmacy, petrol industry etc.

Permanent magnet operated by the movement of a float will activate an other magnet inside the switching enclosure. This second magnet operates a special switch. So the movement of float is transferred to the potted switch through separated magnetic coupling ensuring the requirements of the wet process and Ex application. Special balancing construction and various accessories (see figures of DIMENSIONS) give wide range of possibility of the installation.

Installation according to the requested application may carry out on the basis of drawings and tables. The balance of the arms with differential length is provided by the counter weight shifted to the proper point at the vertical type MKA-23_. Hysteresis switching points will be adjusted on the vertical stick with fixing rings. Function of the switch may be tested without dismantle of the instrument by the installed MMK tester. Minimal length of the arm is not shorter than 100 mm in that case.

Nivelco NIVOPOINT MAGNETIC TRACKING LEVEL SWITCHES

Nivelco Level Switch magnetic float level switches use the interaction between a magnet in the float and the reed switches
in the probe. The float moves along the stem, following the level of the liquid and activating the reed-switches. As the
float moves along the reed switches, it changes their state (NO / NC), and they stay triggered until the liquid’s level falls, and the float moves along the reed switches again, breaking off the self-holding state and restoring the previous state of the reed-switches.

The mini version does not contain biasing magnets. By following the level, the magnetic float activates the reed switches in the probe. The reed switches opens or close according to the position of the magnetic float. The default state is when the float is at the bottom position.

The mini version of the NIVOPOINT magnetic float level switch is suitable for small tanks. The small size and easy
installation make it perfect for detecting the maximum, minimum, or intermediate level using the tank’s or device’s
connection stubs made for other purposes

Nivelco VIBRATING FORK LEVEL SWITCHES FOR LIQUIDS and Solids

Nivelco Level Switch vibrating fork level switches are suitable for level detection of liquids or granular, powdered solids. Units with parallel vibrating fork are suitable for liquids, units with non-parallel vibrating fork are suitable for solids. Mounted on pipes, silos, tanks or hopper bins filling/emptying can be controlled using these devices just as well they can generate fail-safe alarms providing overfill- or dry run protection.

The operation principle is based on the electronic circuit exciting the fork probe making it vibrate. As the medium reaches and covers the fork its vibration changes, or stops. The fork will start vibrating freely again as the medium sets it free. The electronics senses the change of vibration and gives output signal after a selected delay. Plastic coated version is recommended in aggressive mediums, highly polished version is recommended for abrasive mediums.

The PNP/NPN transistor output versions can be connected directly to PLC, or relay unit. The NIVOSWITCH vibrating forks are able to solve switching tasks of high current loads with the help of UNICONT PKK switching amplifiers. The UNICONT PKK-312-8 Ex intrinsically safe switching unit is designed to serve Ex rated vibrating forks.

Nivelco NIVOROTA Rotary Pddle Level Switches

NIVOROTA rotary paddle level switches detect the level of lumpy substances, powders, grains, or granules. Mounted
onto tanks, silos, or hoppers, it monitors and controls the filling and dumping of stored materials, such as stone, ash, sand, coal, feed, beet slices, etc.

A small electric motor drives the paddle, which rotates freely in the absence of material. When the material reaches the paddle, the motor is switched off, and the output switch is triggered. When the material level drops, the paddle is free to spin again, the motor is reactivated, and the switch returns to its original state.

The NIVOROTA E?700 & E?800 series Rotary Paddle Level Switches provide all the advantageous features of the previous series in one unit. Dust Ex versions are available for use in hazardous environments.
