The SAS® Tank offers the chance to effectively separate and remove the oil in both space and time. The oil-free water proceeds to be treated, recycled, or released. A Brill® tube style oil skimmer for Active Oil RemovalTM is installed in the SAS® Tank to continually remove the separated oil. Any water or coolant that the skimmer collects is returned to the application via a decanter. The decanting procedure guarantees that the recovered oil has the least amount of water feasible.

SEPARATE

A continuous liquid flow that enters the separator and is guided into the separation chamber, where the water and oil separate into two distinct layers, is received by the SAS® Tank. The SAS® Tank’s coalescing media pack speeds up and simplifies separation.

In contrast to conventional oil water separators, the SAS® Tank comes with a Brill® tube-type oil skimmer, which is a continuous, “active” technique of oil removal. The main source of maintenance issues and inefficiency in other oil water separators is the accumulation of oil in the separation chamber, which is removed by the skimmer. An oil skimmer of the Brill® tube type is a characteristic of the SAS® Tank. By continuously removing oil, the integrated oil skimmer prevents accumulation of oil in the separation chamber, which is the main reason why other kinds of oil water separators are inefficient.

Oil from the liquid’s surface is sucked into the floating tube, which then moves through a number of scrapers in the skimmer. The oil drips into the decanter of the SAS® Tank as the scrapers remove it. To collect more oil, the cleaned tube goes back to the tank.

Tube-type skimmers from Oil Skimmers, Inc. require no routine maintenance and have been used for decades in the most demanding industrial settings. This unit will last regardless of how high or low the pH of the tank solution is.
