Hammer Union Pressure Transmitters

High Performance Pressure Transducers
Viatran offers a variety of high accuracy pressure transducers and transmitters in mV/V, V, mA, and digital outputs to meet your varied requirements. Our high accuracy pressure transmitters range from 0.1% and lower. In some cases, the high accuracy is fixed; and, in other cases, high accuracy is optional.
HPLC Flow-Thru Pressure Transducers
Originally invented by DJ Instruments, Viatran is now the sole manufacturer of Flow-Thru Pressure Sensors with Zero Dead Volume for HPLC, Analytical, and Life Sciences Instrumentation.
Zero dead volume sensors are mounted directly inline with the flow path and are specifically designed to eliminate dead volume and reduce the risk of sample contamination. Furthermore, the completely cylindrical design creates no changes to the fluidic path geometry, reducing the risk of bubble formation.
With internal volumes as low as 1.6 microliters, flow-thru sensors enable manufacturers to reduce the fluidic volume of their system, enabling greater sample measurement sensitivity with less eluent.
Hazardous Location Transmitters
The Occuptaional Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Publication 3073 defines hazardous locations as areas where flammable liquids, gases or vapors or combustible dusts exist in sufficient quantities to produce an explosion or fire. In hazardous locations, specially designed equipment and special installation techniques must be used to protect against the explosive and flammable potential of these substances. Hazardous locations can also be described as those locations where electrical equipment might be installed and which, by their nature, might present a condition which could become explosive if the elements for ignition are present.
Unfortunately, flammable substances are not always avoidable, e.g., upstream Oil & Gas and Refineries. Therefore, it is of great importance that a user of electrical equipment, such as pressure transmitters and process meters, be aware of the environment in which these products will be installed. The user’s understanding of the hazard will help ensure that the electrical equipment is properly selected, installed and operated to provide a safe operating system.
Viatran’s selection of hazardous location transmitters include explosion-proof,flame-proof, non-incendive, and intrinsically safe approvals from agencies such as ATEX, CSA, CE, FM, EACEx and IECEx.

Multi-Purpose Pressure Transmitters
Viatran general purpose pressure transmitters/transducers fulfill the need for many applications where a high accuracy pressure sensor is not a requirement and no special fittings are needed. They are used in a variety of industries from aerospace, automotive, mining, etc. They are available in multiple outputs: mV/V; V; and mA. Differential Pressure Transmitters
Differential pressure transmitters measure the difference between two points. These pressure transmitters are available in various outputs (mV/V, V, mA and digital). If using the “Product Selector”, click the options on the left to find the best pressure transmitter for you.
Detachable Level Transmitters
The DLTTM Series allows for a quick sensor swap without the removal of your entire installed cable run. No special tools are required. Simply pull up the cable and uncouple the sensor head to replace. This makes troubleshooting, repair or replacement quick and simple.
Model 593 (illustrated above) is a Detachable Level Transmitter specifically designed to meet the challenging demands of liquid level measurement. Shown with the protective cover removed, the rugged ceramic diaphragm allows use without a protective cage.
Submersible Level Transmitters
Particularly for water and wastewater applications, you need a robust pressure transmitter that can be submerged and still provide you with the necessary reading to keep your plant operational. Viatran has several submersible level transmitters that can work in the most hostile media. We reccomend that you consider using the Vent Compensator which allows gauge pressure sensors to freely sense barometric pressure changes without the averse effects of moisture and humidity. The Vent Compensator requires no maintenance and eliminates the need to use or maintain desiccants.
Viatran’s multi-purpose, easy-to-use DL Series analog input process meters are ideal for level, flow rate, temperature, or pressure transmitter applications. They accept current and voltage signals (e.g. 4-20 mA, 0-10 V). Three of the front panel buttons can be custom-programmed for a specific operation. The analog input can be scaled to display the process in two different scales; for example, the main display could indicate level in feet and the second display could indicate the volume in gallons.
Flush Mount Pressure Transmitters
Viatran’s flush mount pressure transmitters offer unique fittings to meet a variety of applications. These fittings range from those that are for use with corrosive media that might accumulate and clog a standard fitting to a fitting that inhibits bacterial growth and facilitates Clean in Place (CIP).
Freeze Valve Test Kit and Specialty Devices
Rounding out the pressure transmitter options from Viatran are some of our specialty devices. For example, our Freeze Valve Test Kit enables suppliers to test for moisture in Propane per the harmonized ASTM D2713-15, IP 395/98, ISO 13758:1996 (2018) and JLPGA-S-10T Standards.
