These pumps’ dependable rotating mechanism allows them to manage water that contains silt, sand, and mildly abrasive elements while maintaining a steady water flow. The original Thompson rotary wellpoint pump has been trusted by contractors worldwide for more than 50 years.

Thompson’s pumps are specifically designed and engineered for construction wellpoint and sock dewatering with high air handling, large water volume and high vacuum capability. With 8-inch and 12-inch rotary pump sizes that handle both air and water, the positive displacement with constant suction makes this pump ideal for all wellpoint applications.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The Thompson rotary pump produces constant suction as the rotors separate. The liquid is directed around the rotors and out the discharge. The polyurethane rotors and the stainless-steel wear plates offer corrosion resistance while the steel inserts provide strength and durability.

Feature of Thompson Rotary Wellpoint Pumps

  • Effective Rotary Technology: Made to guarantee steady water flow, this technology is perfect for ongoing dewatering applications.
  • Heavy-Duty Design: Premium materials, such cast iron and stainless steel, provide the best resistance to corrosion and abrasion.
  • Self-Priming Capability: This feature makes field use simpler by enabling operations to begin without pre-filling.
  • Dry Running Capability: Made to function normally even in the event that fluid is momentarily halted.
  • Fuel Efficiency: Long-term, low-emission diesel motor that uses less energy.
  • Simple Maintenance: Internal components are easily accessible for routine maintenance and inspection.
  • High portability: Models with trailer or permanent installation are available for a range of field applications.
  • Quiet Operation: This mechanical design reduces noise, making it perfect for delicate jobs.

Application of Thompson Rotary Wellpoint Pumps

  • Construction and Infrastructure: Draining excavated areas of foundations, trenches and tunnels to support project work.
  • Mining: Groundwater management at open pit and underground mine sites.
  • Groundwater Management: Ideal for reducing groundwater pressure on road and bridge construction projects.
  • Flood Management: Handling waterlogging at project sites due to heavy rain or flooding.
  • Agriculture and Irrigation: Suitable for dewatering or water management on agricultural land.
