Skimoil MiniHAWG & SteelHAWG Engineered Floating Drum Skimmers are designed as an extremely portable and robust drum skimmers. One (1) 12” diameter by 12″ long oleophilic drum is capable of recovering hydrocarbons at rates of up to 600 gallons per hour. depending on the viscosity of the oils. Air drive.

The MiniHAWG DRUM SKIMMER FLOTATION UNIT is 25” wide X 30” long X 15” high, weighs approximately 42 lbs., and is constructed of a lightweight aluminum frame with an oleophilic drum. Lifting handles and boom connector attachment points are provided. Includes filter/regulator/lubricator (FRL) and air hose.

This pneumatically driven skimming unit requires 0-100 psi @ 5 scfm air supply to the included FRL controller. Can run off your air compressor or can even run off the air brakes on a vacuum truck.

SkimOil’s line of drum skimmers is designed for both portability and extreme durability on the toughest jobs. The SteelHAWG 2 each 18” diameter by 36″ long oleophilic drums is capable of recovering hydrocarbons at rates of up to 70 gallons per minute.

This easily deployable unit is ideal for inland and marsh spills since it is capable of operating at water depths as shallow as 3”.

Components of the DRUM SKIMMER SYSTEMS

  • The DRUM SKIMMER FLOTATION UNIT is constructed of lightweight aluminum. Lifting handles and boom connector attachment points are provided. This pneumatically driven skimming unit requires
    0- 100 psi @ 0-12 scfm air supply (available as an option) to the FRL controller.
  • The Pneumatically driven Transfer Pump (optional) is a double diaphragm pump (available as an option) and is separate from the skimmer. This pump requires 125 psi @ 50 scfm air supply to the FRL controller.
  • One set of Pump Suction and Discharge Hoses (40’ lengths) is available as optional.
