Description SkimOil Oil Water Separator (OWS) High Oil Alarm System
SkimOIL’s oil water separator (OWS) oil level sensor and alarm system were designed to provide an alarm signal when accumulated oil reaches a predetermined level. That signal/alarm could then be used to activate pump-out systems (by others) or to alert operators that the oil water separator(OWS) needs attention or maintenance — and/or provide signal voltage for other controls — because the oil has reached that preset level.
The big advantage of the system is that it allows you to adjust-move the sensor location (vertically) without having to enter the tank — or go in through an existing side fitting. The oil level sensor comes standard with a 30′ cord (optional to 100′), allowing great versatility for installations. With a low-level float switch to signal when water or oil reaches a low level that is also field adjustable — the alarm panel can give alerts on both oil present and when water or oil reaches a low level. These sensor points are infinitely adjustable vertically within the length of the cord provided. With no moving parts, this one is pretty hard to screw up. The panel gives an audible 85 db horn alert and alert light as well as plenty of dry contacts out of the NEMA 4X enclosure. 110V standard. On an open-topped tank or when you have access thru the top of a closed tank — you can literally feed/drop the sensors down to the level you want to alert on.
