The Descriptions of Skimoil Sheen-Skimmer
Skimoil Sheen-Skimmer is a small rugged commercial-grade oil skimmer for recovering light lube oils, diesel, and sheen. It can be run off of a low-voltage power source like a car or boat battery or be plugged into a 110V/220V outlet.
It’s quiet and small and can go almost anywhere and can potentially be connected to and run off of solar panels (not included) if you want to set that up. This is NOT a skimmer for spill response. See our regular SteelMax drum skimmers for that kind of heavier oil recovery work. Think of the Sheen-Skimmer as a final clean-up or polishing skimmer.
For sheen recovery in a remote area or where external power is not available, hook the Sheen-Skimmer up to a car battery and let it run. If you truly have just sheen this can run for hours or days without the pump before a recharge is needed.
Sometimes with sheen, you don’t even need to use the pump because with just sheen it takes a LONG time to get even a gallon of product. With the HDPE frame and poly drum, the Sheen-Skimmer is virtually unsinkable. With the optional 12V pump you can pump the accumulated oil off to storage.
