Features OF Gastec P-8-1 Permeation Tube Chlorine

High Stability for Reactive Gas: Unlike pre-mixed gas cylinders where chlorine can react with the cylinder walls, the P-8-1 generates “on-demand” chlorine, ensuring the concentration remains accurate.
Precision Permeation Technology: Uses a high-purity chemical sealed inside a fluororesin (FEP) membrane. Gas diffuses through the membrane at a constant rate when the temperature is kept stable.
Gravimetric Accuracy: The permeation rate is calibrated based on weight loss over time, providing a highly reliable primary standard for laboratory and industrial safety.
Corrosion-Resistant Design: The tube materials are selected to withstand the highly oxidative nature of Chlorine gas.
PD-1 Compatibility: Specifically sized to fit into the oven of the Gastec PD-1B or PD-1C Permeater systems.
