Hengesbach Resistance Thermometer with Screw Connection TP 26

The  TP26 temperature sensors have threaded connections and come in a stainless steel housing with or without a transmitter. These are high-performance devices used in processes that require high hygiene levels (e.g. breweries, dairies, beverage industry, pharmaceutical industry, etc.)

The PT 100 switch comes with 3 wires in its standard, Class A form according to EN 60751. Accuracy classes B 1/2,
B 1/3, B 1/10 DIN and other switch types (single or double PT 100) are available. The utilisation of the measuring inserts must be adapted to the requirements with regard to temperature, length, vibration resistance and measuring accuracy. Tapered sensor tips for particularly short response times are, for example, obtainable for regulatory processes.

The version with an exchangeable measuring insert allows the measuring point to be accessible all the time without interrupting the process or having to open the device; this offers the advantage of additional safety and saves resources. The process connection is a metal threaded connection in the form of a conical seal, with an EHEDG certificate and the corresponding welding sockets and adaptors.

Features:

  • process connection with hygiene design, ehedg
  • exchangeable measuring insert
  • single or double PT100
  • optionally with measuring transducer
  • short addressing times and tapered sensor tip
  • “FR” hosuing in IP 67
  • optional as a quicktemp version for measuring points requiring quality assurance measures

Addressing times for WTH PT100
Apart from the protective pipe at the
measuring point, the addressing time is
mainly determined by the heat transport:
• Medium, flow speed, etc.
• Heat capacity
Higher flow speeds and heat capacities
considerably reduce the addressing time.
It is indicated how long it will take until the
measuring value reaches 50% or 90% of
the final value

The screw-in temperature sensors TP16 and TP26 in a stainless steel housing and with / without transmitter are powerful devices that are used in processes with high hygienic requirements (e.g. breweries, dairies, beverage industry, pharmaceuticals, etc.).

The PT 100 circuit is designed as standard with class A according to EN 60751 in 3-wire circuit. Accuracy classes B 1/2, B 1/3, B 1/10 DIN and other circuits (single or double PT 100) are available. The use of the measuring inserts must be adapted to the requirements with regard to temperature, length, vibration resistance and measuring accuracy. For control processes, for example, tapered sensor tips are available for particularly short reaction times.

The design with an interchangeable measuring insert enables the measuring point to be accessible at any time without interrupting the process and, if necessary, opening it, with the advantage of additional security and resource savings. The process connection is a metallic, conically sealing screw-in thread with EHEDG certificate and corresponding welding sleeves and adapters.

Programmable transmitters 4-20 mA, HART or Profibus PA can be installed for the transmission of measured values. The QUICKTEMP series is particularly recommended for measuring points requiring calibration.

Shockproof screw-in resistance thermometers enable temperature measurement under pressure in motors, compressors, plant engineering and in shipbuilding. The connection between the protection fitting and the connecting cable incorporates a locking system and has IP65 or IP69K protection rating when assembled. The measuring insert is normally fitted with a Pt100 temperature sensor to EN 60 751, Class B in 2-wire circuit. Versions with Pt500 or Pt1000 as well as semiconductor or NTC temperature sensors (only on Types 902004/10 and …/15) can also be supplied. With Types 902004/20 and …/21, there is a choice between 2-wire and 4-wire circuit connections. Types 902004/25 to …/29 are available with a transmitter (output 4 – 20mA).
