Wenglor CP35MHT80 Sensor High Precision
Wenglor CP35MHT80 Sensor High Precision

Using angular measurement and a high-resolution CMOS line and DSP technology, the Wenglor CP35MHT80 Sensor High Precision measures distance. This essentially eliminates measuring variations relating to material, colour, and brightness. The integrated analogue output can be set to either 4…20 mA (20…4 mA) or 0…10 V (10…0 V) in voltage.

Features at a Glance

  • Response time: < 1250 µs (speed-mode)

Applications

Before cutting, it’s critical to precisely measure cheese blocks on conveyors in the food business. This makes it possible to drastically cut down on waste when the blocks are later chopped. Two high-precision laser distance sensors are positioned above and one on each side in order to do this. The volume of the cheese and, hence, the optimal frequency of the cutting knife can be calculated using the analogue measurements. A retro-reflex sensor is positioned upstream as a trigger to avoid having the measuring sensors running continuously, which reduces expenses and electricity usage.

High-Precision Laser Distance Sensors

Colour, shape, and object surface have no bearing on the measurement made by high-precision laser distance sensors, which operate on the concept of angle measurement. They can be used at extremely high resolutions or speeds, depending on the settings. Within the working range of the sensor, each measurement range can be chosen separately.
