IMET Radio Remote Control

IMET was founded in 1988 and is one of the pioneering companies in the development and manufacture of radio remote controls.

General Information

The first products were initially designed for construction operations and concrete processing. Within the next few ye and as a consequence of the increasing importance of productivity and safety in the industrial and construction fields, the demand of radio remote control systems increased massively and IMET, thanks to the dynamism and high level of technical competence of its staff, along with its constant bent towards a technological innovation process, has gained a prominent position on all national and international markets.

IMET is first and foremost a team. It is a combination of a number of individuals who pool their talents to succeed by creating innovative products. Each day presents them with new opportunities to improve in terms of quality and design skills.

IMET radio remote control have always been famous for their extreme reliability and for the high quality of their materials, which are the outcome of a constant commitment to research and experimentation. All IMET devices are designed and assembled in-house and undergo a number of intermediate and final tests to ensure their maximum reliability. It is precisely because of this clear commitment to exploit its resources rationally and effectively that the company obtained the UNI EN ISO9001 Quality Management certification in 1998.

IMET radio remote controls are employed where it is indispensable to operate a handling machine “remotely” and without cable. They are highly reliable and particularly valuable in terms o safety, productivity and freedom of movement.

IMET designs and develops solutions that meet the demands of various industries. These solutions reflect business processes and are reliable and economically advantageous.

Today, the company boasts a wide and diverse range of products, which can fulfil the entire spectrum of needs of every industry. The company’s product portfolio also includes standard equipment, designed for the most common applications, such as construction or hydraulic cranes, concrete mixers, concrete pumps, travelling cranes and hydraulic pumps.

IMET proposes customised solutions for customer needs, thus covering every possible configuration in terms of controls.

IMET radio remote controls improve safety, productivity and efficiency, together with comfort and simplicity in the daily use of your application. By opting for one of the many models in IMET’s range you will be able to create a tailor-made system for use in every sector: construction, industrial hoisting equipment, hydraulic cranes, concrete pumping, eco-drainage, drilling and industrial automation.

Our radio remote controls will fully meet your customisation demands and will allow you to unleash the full potential of your machine, while ensuring the maximum level of safety. This will change the way you operate your equipment – you will work in a safer, more comfortable and more resource-effective way.

You will be certain that no other radio device will take over the control of your application thanks to an exclusive communication channel protected by a unique ID code that IMET assigns to each radio remote control.

This device operates in continuous transmission between the transmitting and receiving units. The radio link is made of digital communication frames that are monitored by algorithms at the reception. This guarantee an absolute correspondence between the commands sent by the operator and the received commands. When the radio link is too disturbed or interrupted the receiver unit will autonomously turn into Stop mode bringing the machine to a safe status.

Our Radio controllers are based on designing and manufacturing concepts aiming to guarantee safety and reliability. For example, the CPU features dual microprocessors in cross checking, STOP circuit is made of monitored double safety relays, S-STOP relay is available for the reduction of motion command failure risk, error and failure test are performed at each transmitter and receiver powering.

Radio Remote Controls have become a key element within a modern working context where safety, productivity, freedom of movement have a continuously increasing importance. Industrial radiocontrollers are consequently for time saving and risk reduction working instruments.

Thanks to the radiocontroller, the operator stands in the place with the best visibility and lowest operation risk. The wireless technology allows to control the machine in full autonomy without requiring other operators to support the job with indications.

Your hydraulic crane has only manual levers? IMET has the right solution for you in order to render your job simpler, safe and efficient: HYDRA SYSTEM.

It is a system made of compact electro-hydraulic actuators, that works in combination with our radiocontrollers, to be installed without any welding on the crane rods and without modifying the crane own oil circuit. One of the main characteristics of IMET HYDRA SYSTEM is the full independency of its hydraulic circuit from the crane’s one thanks to the use of a dedicated power pack.

This strategy avoids all troubles deriving from oil sharing where crane fluid characteristics can be inappropriate for the actuators because of spurious parts generated by heavy working conditions.
HYDRA SYSTEM also features strong points for its power pack like activation “on demand” and motor “soft start”. All this contribute to battery saving and pump life enhancement.

In IMET receivers, the manufacturing principles are based on modularity and flexibility concepts in order to keep ease of customization at the maximum level. Furthermore the availability of different housing formats facilitates installation and maintenance along with cost and time reduction.

IMET range of receivers counts on four models with dedicated connection wiring set according to the application complexity. S, L and H models feature IP66 housings while model M, for DIN rail mounting, is ideal for being installed inside the machine control box.

The available electrical connections lay outs are: cable clamp, on-box multipole connector or external wiring with cable ended on multipole connector.
