About Isotech Temperature Calibration and Measurement
Isotech Temperature Calibration and Measurement are the standards in temperature calibration and measurement. Developing innovative solutions for calibration facilities in over 125 countries.
We remain unique in our approach, not only do we manufacture equipment, but we operate our own full-scale UKAS-accredited laboratory. Operating our own laboratory has given us a deep understanding of organizations utilizing temperature calibration and measurement devices that face challenges—problems that we answer with our vast variety of calibration solutions.
Performance and quality have always been our priority, helping us earn an excellent reputation for our products. Over four decades of operation, we have received recognition in the form of several major awards. Perhaps one of our proudest moments came in 2017 when we were awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for the development of the micro K Thermometry Bridge.
The Products of Temperature Calibration and Measurement
mill Precision Thermometer Temperature Measurement
The mill Precision Thermometer from Isotech sets a new standard for the high accuracy measurement and calibration of Platinum Resistance Thermometers, Thermistors, Thermocouple and Process Instrumentation (4-20mA) over the range -270°C to 1820°C.

The milliK has two input channels for sensors and a third channel for current. It can be expanded to become a measuring system with up to 33 channels reading SPRTs, RTDs, Thermistors, or Thermocouples with the option to control calibration baths and log readings accurately. In addition to low uncertainty measurements from Reference Standards and Industrial sensor measurements, the milliK can control Isotech temperature sources, sequence through a programmable list of temperature set points, and log data to internal memory or a USB drive.
- Wide Range of Sensors
- SPRTs, PRTs, Thermistors, Thermocouple and 4 – 20mA
- High Accuracy
- < ±5ppm for PRTs, ±2?V for Thermocouples and ±1?A Transmitters
- Logs – Controls Isotech Temperature Sources
- Massive logging capacity – controls Dry Blocks and Liquid Baths
- Benefiting You
- The mill sets a new standard for value, versatility, and accuracy – < ±5ppm over the range for PRTs, ±2?V for Thermocouples, and ±1?A for current transmitters, see Data Sheet.
Supporting a wide range of sensors and functions it replaces individual devices making a cost-effective calibration solution.
A robust design and operation from AC or DC power allow the mill to be used in the laboratory, test room, or out in the field.
The mill can display in °C, °F, K, Ohms, mV, and mA with numeric and graphical display modes. The large backlit display makes configuring the instrument and setting the scrolling strip charts intuitive. The USB port allows for the use of a mouse, keyboard or USB Drive.
No Compromise Design
The design team has considered industrial users and applications in order to avoid measurement errors and problems encountered in some instruments from other manufacturers:
- Eliminates Thermal EMF Errors in PRTS
- Fast current reversal technology and solid state switching eliminate thermal EMF effects avoiding the errors that occur with fixed DC instruments.
- Lead Wire Correction
- PRT lead wire errors are eliminated for up to 30m of four-core screened cables.
- Galvanic Isolation
- Not only are the two sensor channels galvanically isolated, but the 4 – 20mA input is also separately isolated. The benefits of the advance design are no ground loops, improved safety and noise immunity.
- High Resolution
- The display resolution is 0.0001°C (0.1mK) made possible by using a powerful Sigma Delta Analogue to Digital converter to achieve a true measuring resolution of just 28?? equivalent to 0.00007°C (0.07mK) for PRT inputs.
- USB Port
- To simplify data entry simply connect a mouse and or keyboard – or a USB Drive to export logged data.
TTI-22 Temperature Measurement
Quite simply the Isotech TTI-22 High Accuracy Thermometer sets new standards in the price-to-performance ratio for industrial and secondary resistance thermometry. If you need high accuracy at an affordable price you have to look at the TTI-22.

The TTI-22 has an accuracy of 0.001°C and a resolution of 0.0001°C (0.00004 Ohms). It has two input channels, is lightweight (1.8kg), and will operate for more than 10 hours from two small AA cells. It has both RS232 and Ethernet ports. Simple to use, supporting both Industrial 100 Ohm probes and SPRTs to ITS-90, 25.5, and 100 Ohm. Up to 30 probe calibrations can be stored along with the calibration expiry date so the instrument can warn when the calibration time has been exceeded. Built-in statistics calculation can show you both the measured and average values along with the standard deviation over previous measurements. The Isotech TTI-22 is ideal as a reference standard alongside liquid calibration baths, for the smallest uncertainty calibration with Dry Blocks or for demanding standalone measurement applications. Previously this level of performance was confined to specialist laboratories with expensive thermometry bridges; TTI-22 delivers 5 to 10 times the performance of comparably priced instruments.
- The TTI-22 uses the same patented measurement technique as the earlier TTI-2.
- Each measurement performs a zero point and gains correction.
- The switched polarity DC measuring current (0.4mA) eliminates thermal EMFs.
- Surface mount construction ensures long-term reliability.
Micro K Gold Thermometry Bridges
Confidence in Thermometry Bridges
The micro K range of thermometry bridges has rapidly established itself as the number one choice for temperature metrologists. Many NMIs are now using the new drift-free micro K technology and sales have exceeded our initial expectations.
Of course, the micro K is not the only thermometry bridge available, there are both older and newer designs of the bridge, and all claim advantages with performance or measuring methods.

AC or DC Measurement
In the past, it was the case that AC Bridges operated with lower noise than DC bridges but the micro K uses a new parallel processing technology to match or exceed that which previously needed impedance matching and the use of transformers.
Performance
Different manufacturers claim performance in different ways and it can be confusing to compare specifications. With the availability of the automatic resistance bridge calibrator more and more bridges are being calibrated with reports published, the micro K is consistently shown to exceed its specification, which is not the case for all! Ask us for the latest reports.
Confidence
With claim and counterclaim we want to give you confidence and have introduced the micro K GOLD package. With micro K GOLD you get
- Best Performance – less than 30ppb ratio accuracy – drift free
- Evidence – shipped with a report documenting the performance Recalibration in years two and three included – return for further evidence
- Three Year Warranty
Evidence
Now with the RBC Bridge performance can be measured – with micro K GOLD you get evidence at the time of delivery and you can return it for recalibration in years two and three. Guaranteed and documented performance with a unique satisfaction promise.
Micro K Precision Thermometry Bridge
The micro K 70 and 125 models are designed for the Primary Temperature Laboratories whilst the micro K 250 and 500 models were designed for the Secondary Laboratory as well as a wide range of high-accuracy industrial and scientific calibration applications. The instruments use a completely new measurement technique to achieve accuracies better than 0.02 parts per million (ppm). In April 2017 Isotech won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category for the co-development of the micro K, read more in our news section.

When used with a 0°C cold junction reference unit, or by measuring the junction temperature with a PRT on another channel the instrument is capable of low uncertainty precision thermocouple measurements, with a voltage uncertainty of just 0.25?V, equivalent to 0.01°C with a Platinum / Gold Thermocouple at 1000°C.
The micro K range consists of four instruments offering a choice of measurement accuracy of 0.07 to 0.5ppm over the whole range, equivalent to 0.07mK to 0.5mK over the whole range of an SPRT with a Ro >2.5?. Better at unity ratio.
The instruments in the micro K range offer performance characteristics and features which are simply not available elsewhere. Comparable instruments available internationally do not achieve the same accuracy or stability (zero drift characteristics with SPRT measurements are not obtainable in any other instrument), other instruments do not support the same variety of sensors, and offer considerably fewer operational features. The microK family uses solid state construction with no potentiometers or relays which ensures long term reliability and low cost of ownership, a feature of growing international importance.
