SkimOil Floating Tripod Oil Skimmer is an old well proven design of floating weir oil or surface skimmer that can work in lots of industrial and spill situations. With 3 separate floats tied together by the framework and central round funnel weir, this is a very stable oil skimmer and easy to keep floating flat or level.

The Descriptions of SkimOil Floating Tripod Oil Skimmer

With the central round weir the stainless steel TriSKimmer will pull from a 360-degree surface area, influencing the area all around it. The hose connection is located dead center at the bottom of the adjustable banded drain pipe, which is used to easily set the funneled weir height or depth which determines how deep a cut or skim is coming off the surface and into the weir. On the topside, there is a rotating T-handle on this funneled drain pipe which is turned to simply adjust the surface skim or surface cut vertically. No tools are needed ever. This T-handle is also a carrying handle.

Be aware, that this is not an automatically self-adjusting weir skimmer like our Floating weir skimmer (FWS), but it is easy enough to adjust before installation or by leaning down over it from a boat or dock or platform above it. A one-time adjustment is all that’s needed for most applications and it will keep skimming at that depth until you change it.
