Apollo Flowmeters produce a range of flowmeters for diverse applications, ranging from water and oil measurement to corrosive liquids in hazardous environments. The latest solid modeling and CNC technology ensure the highest quality. Custom products are regularly manufactured to meet specific requirements.

The Products of Apollo Flowmeters

Flowmeters are used extensively to measure and control the flow of liquids in pipelines. There are many types of meters, and the choice will depend on the individual application. Some meters have a built-in display, while others give electronic outputs to remote displays or control systems.

RN Turbine

Available with screwed, flanged, or wafer connections, these stainless steel meters are ideal for water, light oils, solvents and low-viscosity chemicals. They require a display or converter and can be fitted with ATEX sensors

This range of flowmeters is used for liquids such as water, light oils, solvents and low-viscosity chemicals. You can use them for batching, flow rate monitoring, controlling, blending, and filling. The flow meter is highly accurate and often used for testing the performance of pumps, engines, valves and other flowmeters. In hazardous areas you can use the flowmeters with the Apollo IS pick-off coil approved to ATEX II 1G Ex ia IIC T5/T4 Ga (-20C<Ta<80C/+100C). The signal can be used in the IS area or transmitted to the safe area using the intrinsically safe P5
preamplifier and suitable barriers.

Hygienic Turbine

Available with hygienic connections, these meters are designed for the dairy, beverage, food processing, and pharmaceutical industries. They are suitable for low-viscosity liquids and require a separate display or converter and can be fitted with ATEX sensors

The hygienic turbine flowmeters have been designed for the dairy, beverage, food processing, and pharmaceutical industries. The liquid food applications include milk products, vegetable oils, and vinegar for both continuous measurement and batch control. The brewing and soft drinks industry uses the flowmeter for keg filling, ratio blending, and tanker loading. Pharmaceutical processes often require the hygienic qualities of the meter for accurate flow measurement of salines, proprietary medicines, and fine chemicals. The bearings are suitable for low-pressure steam sterilization and chemical in-place cleaning.

SP521/522 Turbine

The SP521/522 Turbine Flowmeter is a 2” ISO 6162 flowmeter with 1/4” BSP tappings. Allowing the fitting of pressure and temperature sensors for testing hydraulic systems.

The SP521/522 turbine flowmeter has been developed for the testing of hydraulic circuits but its stainless steel construction allows it to be used for other applications such as the metering of water, solvents, and chemicals. As well as flow measurement, the 2 additional 1/4” tappings allow pressure and temperature monitoring.

Electromagnetic

These meters are ideal for all electrically conductive liquids, including aggressive chemicals and liquids containing solids. They have a built-in display and outputs for the control system. They need a 110V-240V power supply

These flowmeters are ideal for all conductive liquids including aggressive, abrasive, and corrosive chemicals, hygienic liquids, and liquids containing solids. Typical applications include the measurement of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, pulps, foods, acids, alkalis, dyes, and waste water. The accuracy is not affected by changes in pressure, temperature, density, conductivity, or viscosity. The flowmeter will accurately measure uneven flows.

Hoverflo

This range of meters is used for measuring highly corrosive solutions where metal components are not compatible. They require a remote display and can be fitted with ATEX sensors

This range of flowmeters is used for measuring highly corrosive solutions such as nitric, sulphuric, hydrochloric, and hydrofluoric acids. It is ideal for measuring aggressive and non-conductive liquids which have proven to be incompatible with most magnetic and mechanical flowmeters. The long-term reliability and stability of the Hoverflo make it ideal for both batch and continuous process operation. In hazardous areas you can use the flowmeters with the Apollo IS pick-off coil, approved to ATEX II 1G EEx ia IIC T5/T4. The signal can be used in the IS area or transmitted to the safe area using the intrinsically safe P5 preamplifier and suitable barriers.

Lowflo

The Lowflo meter is based on the well-proven Pelton wheel principle and is used for measuring clean, low-viscosity liquids at flow rates down to 1 lit/hour. The sensor is ATEX-rated The Lowflo flowmeter is used to measure extremely low flow rates of clean liquids, chemicals, additives, demineralized water, oil, and fats. Applications include dosing of chemicals, batching, injection into food and animal feed processes, blending, monitoring, and pH adjustment.

Peltflo

Also based on the Pelton wheel principle, this range has a higher flow range than the Lowflo. The Peltflo is suitable for various liquids such as acids, solvents, water, agrochemicals and light oils. You can use it for container filling, dispensing, flow rate indication, controlling, and spraying. The flowmeter is designed for use with clean liquids although particles less than 0.25mm will be harmlessly washed through.

Variable Area

If all you need is a visual indication of flow rate, the low-cost DFM range is suitable for clean, cold liquids in vertical lines. The DFM is a well proven variable area flowmeter for the measurement of clear liquids and gases. It is simple in operation, easy to install and requires no maintenance. It gives you a clear visual display of flow rate and has the option of relay outputs for high and low flow alarm conditions.

Oval Gear

The well-established oval gear flowmeter is used for clean, high, or varying viscosity liquids. The body and internal options can be configured for different applications. OM series positive displacement flowmeters can be used to provide precise volumetric flow measurements in a broad range of industries including automotive, aviation, mining, power, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, paint, and petroleum.

Water Meters

For simple totalizing of hot or cold water, these meters give an economical solution. These DSTRP series water meters are installed in numerous applications where the accurate and economic measurement of hot and cold water usage is needed. These meters are suitable for fitting in homes, agricultural and horticultural premises as well as industrial and commercial properties.
