General Information
TC Fluid Control is a global market leader in level measurement technology. Working together with our customers, we develop comprehensive solutions based on our high-quality level technology components, with the solutions ultimately being integrated in their business processes. Our range includes magnetic level gauges, level transmitters and switches. We are also the exclusive supplier of Klinger glass level gauges.
TC Fluid Control was established in 2003 having been part of the UK business of Trouvay & Cauvin based in Le Havre France.
The Instrumentation Division was originally established in the UK as Richard Klinger Ltd in 1933. In December 1999 Trouvay & Cauvin Ltd acquired the Instrumentation Division which was based in Sidcup. In 2002 the UK Management Team bought out the UK side of the company.

Instrument Chambers
TC Fluid Control Instrument Chambers are designed to suit your needs. We manufacture to the ASME standard and can supply with a fully butt welded construction of a slip-on weld design. Diameters are available up to 8″ with unlimited length (although a maximum of 6m in each section).
Bespoke chambers can also be manufactured to fit your process. Uniquely designed in-house to enable you to manage weight, size and position of the installation.
We can also supply fitted a Guided Wave Radar to your specification, along with wet testing of the assembly to prove the operation of the instrument. All this is completed on site at our Swanley factory in the UK.
The Instrument Chambers are used in conjunction with liquid level sensors and are designed to give an uninterrupted level indication of most liquids including steam condensate as well as arduous chemicals. For certain applications, it can also sense an interface level within the chamber.
Remote Display System
TC Fluid Control Remote Display Systems allow you to remotely monitor instrument readings. They are able to be mounted on carrier rails, panels and surfaces. Data can be displayed in bar graph format for sensors that are continuously measuring. Connecting to a single 4-20mA sensor, signals can be transferred to another location if required.
Klinger Process Level Gauges
TC Fluid Control is the exclusive UK supplier of Klinger Level Gauges.Klinger originally invented the Reflex level gauge and the group has since developed into a world market leader in glass level gauge technology.
Today Klinger manufactures the most comprehensive range of Liquid level gauges suitable for the varied needs of the modern process plant. Klinger produce level gauges to suit virtually any application, available in single or multi-sections, with a variety of shut-off valves, cocks and accessories.
Klinger Steam Level Gauges
TC Fluid Control is the exclusive UK supplier of Klinger Level Gauges. The Klinger Reflex glass level gauge provides maximum operator protection while displaying a clear indication of the liquid level for low pressure applications.Above 22bar, Klinger Transparent glass level gauges are used, fitted with extra thick micas to protect the glass. These gauges can be fitted with illuminators, a useful option particularly in poorly lit areas. For high pressure applications, Klinger Bi-colour glass level gauges are available with illuminators to give either a red and green or black and white indication, particularly useful for remote viewing.
Reed-chain Level Sensor
The model FLR sensors with reed-chain technology are used for level measurement in liquid media. They work on the float principle with magnetic transmission.
Sanitary Level Sensor
The model FLM-H magnetostrictive sensor has been specifically designed for the requirements of the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries. The sensor is particularly suitable for the special conditions of CIP/SIP cleaning processes, such as chemical stability towards cleaning liquids and high temperatures.
Continuous In-tank Measurement
TC Fluid Control has a comprehensive range of level measuring instruments available for temperatures up to 450 °C, densities from 400 kg/m³ and pressure ranges up to 500 bar. The product spectrum includes bypass level indicators, sight glass level indicators, magnetic float switches and optoelectronic switches. Customer-specific special designs complete the TC Fluid Control offering.
Measurement of Switching Points in the Tank
TC Fluid Control has a comprehensive range of level measuring instruments available for temperatures up to 450 °C, densities from 400 kg/m³ and pressure ranges up to 500 bar. The product spectrum includes bypass level indicators, sight glass level indicators, magnetic float switches and optoelectronic switches. Customer-specific special designs complete the TC Fluid Control offering.
Optoelectronic Switches
TC Fluid Control offer a wide range of optoelectronic switches for applications with compact mounting space.
The benefits are:
- Recording of the level with the cone tip is independent to a large extent of the physical characteristics of the liquids such as density, dielectric constant, conductivity, colour and refractive index.
- Detection of interface layers with rounded tip (switch OLS-S).
- The extremely compact design guarantees minimum space requirements and measurement in very small volumes.
TC Fluid Control Magnetic Level Gauges
A Magnetic Level Gauge is a type of level sensor, used to measure the level of fluids. At TC Fluid Control, we have a wide range of Magnetic Level Gauges which are used throughout the world within a vast range of industries. Our Magnetic Level Gauges are particularly suited to applications where hazardous liquids of gases are in use. All of these instruments are made to order and our engineers will provide expert guidance on the design and manufacture of the Magnetic Level Gauges for specific applications.
TC Fluid Control Magnetic Level Gauges provide immediate and accurate response to level changes, giving clear and sharp legibility over the full range of the liquid level. Local and remote display, point switching facilities are available. Robust, shockproof and completely sealed for safety, Magnetic Level Gauges are particularly suited for dangerous or toxic fluids. TC Fluid’s Magnetic Level Gauges are also ideal for liquid interface applications with a powerful omni-directional magnet system contained within a non-pressured float design.
LevelSure Gauge – (Combined Magnetic Level Gauge with Guided Wave Radar)
The TC Fluid Control LevelSure combines the operation of conventional float type Magnetic Level Gauges with the proven technology of Guided Wave Radar, Magnetostrictive Transmitter or Reed Chain Transmitter in one unit. The user benefits from the local visual readout and from the 4-20mA signals provided from the Guided Wave, Magnetostrictive or Reed Chain Transmitters with resolutions down to 0.8mm available.
The LevelSure is a completely self-contained unit and can be mounted to vessels with threaded, flanged or welded connections to suit your specific requirements. Giving an accurate and high confidence reading, the LevelSure gauge is particularly useful in the petrochemical, power generation and pharmaceutical industries.
