Battery Charger

The La Marche Filtered Battery Chargers / Power Supplies are engineered for the demanding requirements of Switchgear applications, Process Controls and Communications. The magnetic amplifier circuitry is designed to carry continuous and intermittent loads up to the maximum rated output. Its robust design, unmatched reliability and many customizable features have made this workhorse the standard charger in the industry.

This series charger assists with NERC PRC-005-6 as it is equipped with Data Logging capability. The charger maintains a record of all the monitored parameters in the DC system. The Data log file is saved in an Excel format and is easily accessible through a micro SD card.

Battery Integrated Power System

The La Marche LMPS is specifically designed as an all in one solution that integrates our High Frequency rectifiers with our distribution center. It combines the load distribution breakers, LVLD, interface, ground/charge bars and High Frequency modular rectifiers into a 23” rack mount unit. The LMPS is equipped with a user friendly system controller, DC distribution and provisions for future expansion.

This modular 1800 amp @ -48vdc (positive ground) power system is the ideal choice for communication centers, data centers and microwave applications. Enclosed in a 7’H x 26”W x 26:D box frame, the system has 3 tiers of front accessible plug-in break distribution panels. Each tier is designed for load shedding with a 600A in-line LVLD contactor, which is followed by 24 breaker positions. With its 3 tier configuration, the system supports up to 72 breakers total Rectifier output, DC distribution and batteries are all connected to an internal common 2300A bus. The system’s controller supports today’s advanced remote monitoring capabilities, such as web server and SNMP protocol via Ethernet RS232 and RS485 ports.

MSM Switchmode Charger

La Marche MSM Series is a Smart High Frequency Switch Mode charger specifically developed for Marine and Engine Starting applications. MSM series incorporates Power Factor Correction (PFC) Circuitry with a wide input voltage range in order to accommodate many marine charging applications.

The MSM has an Integrated Battery Charge Divider / Isolator which provides connections for charging up to three independent batteries simultaneously with a three-stage charge cycle. MSM’s filtered output is suitable to charge different types of batteries for Marine/Industrial applications. This series is equipped with an LCD display for ease of navigation through the configurations menu. The LCD also displays Input AC voltage, Output DC Voltage & Current, and Alarm Status. The front of the unit provides three status LED indicators for the overall status of the system. The MSM charger is built in a robust, non-corrosive enclosure that addresses harsh environments, meeting stringent safety and regulatory standards. MSM chargers can be used inside engine rooms as this series is ignition protected 33 CFR 183.410 compliant.

The La Marche Isolation Transformer Series (ITS) is designed for installation in industrial and harsh environment applications where reliable power is required. The La Marche ITS transformer protects circuits, equipment, and people from electric shocks and short circuits.

The transformers are designed per UL safety requirements and manufactured using insulated copper windings with Class H insulation system. The La Marche ITS transformers are specifically engineered to operate at full load and full harmonic rating providing years of trouble free service.

IUPS Industrial UPS

La Marche Industrial Uninterrupted Power System (IUPS) is designed based on pulse with modulation (SPWM) rectifier and inverter using fully digital DSP+ IGBT technology. This transformer-based double-conversion IUPS is highly robust, well-proven and provides the highest level of availability. This transformer-based IUPS incorporates the latest designs and operates at high efficiency while providing galvanic isolation. The 12-pulse rectifier section generates very low total harmonic current distortion (THD) under 5% improving input power factor. The low AC ripple currents and voltage along with battery test feature improves battery life and availability. The IUPS is designed with an output transformer, allowing flexibility where bypass voltage and rectifier input voltage can be from a separate source.

The built-in Static Switch using power SCRs provide instantaneous (less than4ms) to an alternate source if any disturbance occurs at the UPS output. The highly reliable IUPS is the preferred choice in mission-critical applications and high-power data centers compared to transformer-free UPS. The La Marche IUPS is equipped with Touch-Screen dynamic real-time mimic panel displaying power flow, voltages and currents, alarms and status, data logging, and user-friendly password protected configuration capabilities. The IUPS is highly customizable; kVA rating, Input/Output Voltages, Charger Sizing, enclosure protection ratings, distribution, isolation bypass transformer, distribution, and many more.

RHF2 Railroad Charger

The La Marche model RHF2 series uses proven High Frequency charging technology and is developed specifically for the railroad market. It is typically used for signaling, highway crossing and motion detection systems where the battery is cycled frequently. This filtered unit is designed and built to charge VRLA, Flooded Lead Acid and Nickel Cadmium batteries.

One of the features that make this product unique, is lightning protection. The RHF2 series is equipped with AAR style hardware on the input and output connections. Temperature compensated charging is standard to maximize the life of the battery. The unit is designed to achieve MTBF in excess of 100,000 hours1.

SCP Solar Charge PWM Controller

The La Marche Solar Charge Controller is available in two models, the SCM (Solar Charge Controller – MPPT Technology) and SCP (Solar Charge Controller – PWM Technology). Both models regulate the voltage and current from the solar modules to properly charge the battery and supply the load.

In order to maximize the power that can be extracted from the solar modules, the SCM Controller utilizes Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm. For a simplified version, the SCP controller regulates the charging power using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).
