Adalet offers a variety of increased safety (Exe) rated enclosures.

Increased safety enclosures are designed to prevent the possibility of excessive heat, the ingress of water or dust, and the resistance to impact, thus preventing any explosions from occurring. These enclosures are intended to house electrical equipment which will not generate an arc or spark during normal operation, and are suitable for use in Zone 1 or Zone 2 hazardous locations.

Zone 1: Ignitable concentrations of flammable gases or vapors are likely to exist under normal operating conditions, or may exist frequently because of repair, maintenance or leakage.
Zone 2: Ignitable concentrations of flammable gases or vapors are not likely to occur in normal operation, or may occur only for a short period of time during an accident or unusual operating condition

Explosionproof & Dust-Ignition Proof Enclosures

Explosionproof and dust-ignition proof enclosures are designed for applications where explosions could be caused by gases, dusts, and fibers. Intended for either indoor or outdoor use, these enclosures range in size and include a watertight gasket for NEMA 4X protection.

Type 4X Stainless Steel Dead Front Panelboard

A dead front, swing panel version is available with a swing panel and quick access latches. The dead front, swing panel version isolates the wiring space, wiring gutter, and termination area which would otherwise be exposed when the door is opened.

JN4X Series JIC Enclosures

Adalet’s NEMA Type 4X enclosures are available in Type 304 and 316L stainless steel with a brushed finish. The enclosure has continuously welded seams ground to a smooth finish. It also comes complete with four 10-32 weld nuts (for mounting optional panels). Grounding studs are provided on the inside of the box and door. Wall mounting back brackets are welded on the top and bottom outside. The JN4XHSS cover is sealed with a closed cell, silicone foam in place gasket and is secured to the enclosure with a continuous stainless steel piano hinge on one side and stainless steel door clamping hardware on three sides. There are no knock-outs or holes in the cover or body A hardware kit is included.

N4X Series Single Door Enclosures

Adalet’s N4X single door, wall-mount stainless enclosure can be used indoors or outdoors to house items such as pilot devices; electronic or electrical controls; instrumentation systems; and hydraulic, pnewmatic and machine tool controls. Designed to protect against dust, dirt, oil and water, these corrosion resistant electrical enclosures are ideal for petrochemical plants, dairies, breweries, food processing areas and similar environments where they can be subject to frequent high pressure hosing and generally wet conditions.

AVSS Series Quarter Turn Latch Enclosures

Adalet has designed these enclosures to use quarter-turn latches instead of hold-down clamps, which are often inadequately secured after servicing, leaving equipment vulnerable to the elements. The Victory Series stainless steel electrical enclosures are used indoors and outdoors to house such items as electronic and electrical controls; instrumentation systems; and pneumatic, hydraulic and machine tool controls.
