Applications

Here we have provided an option for customer to search for products based on common applications. The product listings are not extensive by any means but generally will cover most requirements whether it’s a Timer to carry out a particular function or a Level Controller that’s ensuring the tank it is monitoring does not over fill or run dry.

Earth Leakage

Earth Leakage is used in conjunction with an external Core Balance Current Transformer (CBCT) and will detect residual sinusoidal alternating and pulsating direct currents.

An adjustable trip level and time delay allows the product to be set according to the type of installation to be protected. When the level of leakage current being monitored exceeds the set trip level, the unit will trip. Typically, the product is used in conjunction with an external switching device (i.e. contactor, shunt trip). An auxiliary supply is required to power this product.

Fully programmable and easy to set-up digital relay that offers the user the ability to monitor and detect Overcurrent and Earth Fault conditions.

The user is able to choose from 6 tripping characteristics curves for use on both Overcurrent and Earth fault detection or alternatively, assign a Definite Time. Two relay outputs can be individually assigned to either Overcurrent and/or Earth Fault tripping and set for Manual or Auto-resetting. A clear, backlit LCD provides all key information the user requires for both operation and setting up. An auxiliary supply (required to power the unit) must be present for the product to function.

Multifunction timer offering seven selectable timing functions. Three functions are supply initiated and commence as soon as power is applied. Four functions are switch initiated which require the power to be permanently applied in order for the function to carry out.

The product is designed to monitor current in a feed to a load. An auxiliary supply (required to power the unit) must be present for the product to function.

Two monitoring modes available:

Under current:
In normal operation, the relay is in the energised state (monitored current above the set trip level). When the current decreases below the trip level, the relay will de-energise after the set delay. The current must increase above the trip level plus the hysteresis before the relay will re-energise.

Over current:
In normal operation, the relay is in the energised state (monitored current below the set trip level). When the current increases above the trip level, the relay will de-energise after the set delay. The current must decrease below the trip level minus the hysteresis before the relay will re-energise.

The product monitors it’s own three-phase supply and for the output relay to energise, all phases must be present, the phase sequence correct and the phase to phase voltages within the set Under/Over trip levels. If any of these conditions are not met, the relay will de-energise.

The unit is designed to control the maximum and/or minimum levels of conductive liquids but in addition, provide an alarm signal should the level continue to rise above or fall below the alarm probe itself. The Alarm level operates independently to the other levels and has it’s own relay output. It can therefore be used as a very low-level or high-level alarm indicator.
