When the Maximum Security (MS) Lock® launched in 1955, it quickly became the industry standard and even now remains the dominant locking solution for narrow stile aluminum openings. Today Adams Rite designs, manufactures, and markets door and door hardware products to the commercial, industrial and institutional building construction industry and is recognized as one of the leading suppliers in its area of specialization.

1830 Series Swing Bolt Bottom Rail Deadlock
  • 830 Series Swing Bolt Bottom Rail Deadlock
  • 1830 Bottom Rail Deadlock provides bottom rail locking in ultra-narrow stile aluminum or tempered glass doors. Tamper-resistant with an armored faceplate, it protects with a minimum threshold strike opening.
  • MS1837 Series MS® Two-Point Deadlock
    Maximum security for wood door pairs is provided with the MS1837 Two-Point Deadlock. A single turn drops a bolt into the threshold and pivots the MS bolt.
  • MS1861 Series MS® Bottom Rail Deadbolt
    MS1861 Bottom Rail Deadbolt provides maximum security with MS deadbolt locking mechanism. It utilizes hardened steel bolts for the limited space of ultra-narrow stile doors.

Adams Rite deadlatches provide flexible traffic control for applications that require free entrance at certain times and exit-only at other times. Choose from electric, standard, and heavy-duty deadlatch options that can be ordered with a variety of related products including strike plates, cylinder accessories, electric strikes, and trim.

    The Steel Hawk® 4300 Electrified Deadlatch is a non-handed, narrow backset, electrified deadlatch designed for easy integration with access control systems.
  • 4530 Standard Duty Deadlatch
    4530 Standard Duty Deadlatches provide flexible traffic control during and after business hours. Designed to retrofit into the prep of older MS1850 Deadlocks and discontinued 4250 Deadlatches.
  • 4781 Two-Point Deadlatch with Paddle
    The 4781 Two-Point Deadlatch latches to the header and threshold allowing both door leaves to remain active. It is designed for paired out-swinging narrow stile doors but is also suitable for single doors.

Adams Rite Instruments flush bolt door locks provide greater key control and are designed to prevent accidental locking of the inactive leaf of paired doors. Available in options for aluminum, hollow metal, and wood swinging doors. Flush pull locksets are available for sliding doors.

    Designed for greater key control, the 1870HM Cylinder-Operated Flushbolt prevents accidental locking of the inactive leaf of paired hollow metal doors. May be installed to lock at the threshold or at the header.

Electric Strikes

Adams Rite Instruments offers a rounded range of electric strikes compatible with deadlatches, cylindrical and mortise locksets and Pullman and Interlocking rim exit devices in aluminum, hollow metal, and wood applications. From basic, cost-efficient Grade 1 electric strikes to the premium preload-capable Ultraline Series and with an extensive range of options and finishes.

  • 7160, 7170 Electric Strikes with 4-7/8″ [123.8 mm] faceplates are designed for use with mortise or cylindrical type locksets with up to 3/4″ [19.1 mm] latchbolt projection without deadbolt.
  • UltraLine® 74R1, 74R2 Electric Strikes for Rim Exit Devices with Pullman Type Latchbolts
  • 74R1 Electric Strike is designed for rim exit devices with 3/4″ [19.1 mm] Pullman latch bolts. For use in aluminum, hollow metal, or wood applications. 74R2 Electric Strike is designed for narrow stile rim exit devices with 1/2″ [12.7 mm] Pullman latch bolts. Designed for use in aluminum applications.
