General Information

Dynalco Brand

Dynalco was started in 1968 with three products and a goal of producing engineered solutions for the oil and gas industries. Today, Dynalco has become a worldwide industry leader, recognized for its high-quality instruments and controls used in the oil & gas, chemical, power, marine and construction industries. In October 2011 Dynalco was acquired by Barksdale and is now part of Barksdale’s family of brands.

Professional Services

With a standard product line as the base, Barksdale prides itself in supplying specially designed or adapted products to meet customers’ specific requirements. A wide range of optional modifications are offered on most of Barksdale’s products, allowing you to customize the products to meet your specific application while using standard components.

If, however, your requirements go beyond the available modification options, Barksdale’s engineers are ready to assist, even if your application requires new technologies. For nearly seventy years, customers by the hundreds have turned to Barksdale’s engineers for custom designed components. The next time you are faced with a difficult, or even an “impossible” problem, call the Barksdale distributor nearest you.

Barksdale solutions are found everywhere in the world

Throughout the world, Barksdale solutions can be found in steel mills, on machine tools, in auto plants, in power generation and distribution facilities, in chemical processing plants, in pulp and paper mills, textile mills, amusement parks, and food processing plants, on offshore drilling rigs, in oil and natural gas fields, rescue equipment, and on many forms of transportation equipment, both on- and off-road. Many industries use a variety of Barksdale’s product lines.

E.g. in mobile- and stationary hydraulic systems: from hydraulic clamping in machine tooling, hydraulic steering systems off highway loaders or load monitoring on crane support struts to vertical cargo lifts and elevators.  In almost every industry, Barksdale products are at work, helping to build a better tomorrow.

Barksdale Control Products

Pressure Switches

Barksdale has been supplying industry with pressure switches for more than 60 years. With ranges from vacuum up to 18,000 psi and a wide variety of fittings, materials and sensor types, we’ve got a switch to meet your needs, including both electronic and mechanical switches.

Barksdale temperature switches prevent damage to heavy industrial equipment by monitoring the temperature of engine fluids and protecting against thermal overloads. Hydraulic power units are protected by controlling the temperature of fluids in systems in reservoirs. In cold climates, Barksdale temperature switches control heating devices that prevent pipes, valves and fittings from freezing preventing expensive loss and downtime.

Valves

Barksdale’s patented Shear-Seal design has been the valve of choice for applications requiring high pressure, high flow rates, low pressure drop, and longer life expectancy . The Shear-Seal principle allows unmatched design versatility because of its high quality while operating in robust environments with contaminated fluids.

The basic design feature not only reduces wear, it actually creates a lapping action between the sealing surfaces that results in a valve that “wears in, not out.”

Regulators

Barksdale regulators utilize our patented Shear-Seal design to provide high flow capacity and a deadband (aka sensitivity) that meets API standards.

It tolerates contaminated fluid just like valves, includes surge dampening and also has the option for a fail-safe motor to control remotely. Barksdale regulators offer different materials dependent on the application such as alloy steel for land O&G applications and 316 stainless steel for offshore drilling.

Level Switches

Barksdale level switches are available in a wide variety of custom lengths for industrial or hazardous locations, with stainless steel or brass wetted materials.
