Kytola Instruments OY is part of a group of companies that is family owned under the Kytola® name. Kytola is a manufacturer and developer of flow meters, oil lubrication systems and oil analyzers.

The company founded in 1945 by Olli Kytola is located in Muurame, Finland. Olli Kytola understood there was a need for reliable flow measuring instruments. He achieved his dream as the Kytola line of products has systematically and steadily grown during past decades to an internationally known company, whose products are used worldwide.

Variable Area Flow Meter

Variable area flow meter Model A is a high quality acrylic flow meter. It is a reliable and easy to read instrument for measuring and monitoring liquid and gas flows. Typical applications are water treatment, sealing water measurements and gas flow measurements.

Multi-Tube Flow Meter

Variable area flow meter Model ExK is a high quality acrylic multi-tube flow meter. It is a reliable and easy to read instrument for measuring and monitoring liquid and gas flows. It is available in single tube and multi-tube versions with many options. Model ExK is equipped with flow adjustment valves on the outlet and is also available in customized designs. Typical applications are water and air purging, shield gas measurements and other gas and liquid measurements.

Metal Tube Flow Meters

Metal tube flow meter model ML is designed for medium and large liquid flows in rough conditions. It is compatible with a wide range of liquids. Reliable and accurate flow measurement is based on a variable area metering principle using a free-floating float. The ML meter withstands high pressure and has excellent temperature resistance. Typical applications are found in chemical and petrochemical industries, power plants and general flow measurement.

Oval Gear Flow Meter

Oval Gear Meter model 2950 is designed and developed for lubrication oil measurement in demanding industrial environments. The model 2950 oval gear meter is a positive displacement flow meter which always shows the correct flow rate regardless of oil temperature or viscosity changes. The flow meter consists of two elliptical gears which the flow rotates.

A coil sensor or an inductive proximity switch picks up the rotation and the pulse signal can be transferred to indicators, counters or automation systems. Typical applications include lubrication oil measurement, industrial oil flow monitoring, and process control.

Seal Water Flow Meters

Model SLM is an accurate, efficient and reliable flow meter that is specially designed for applications where uninterrupted seal water flow is required. Proper adjustment of flow and pressure will result in significant water and energy savings.

The strong and compact design ensures maximum resistance to external impact. The SLM has been optimized to withstand contaminated water and it comes with a built-in flow tube cleaner. Its reliable and accurate flow measurement is based on a variable area metering principle using a free-floating float.

The SLM comes in many different models, which guarantees compatibility with all seal types. The SLM can also be easily equipped with an alarm output by installing an inductive proximity sensor. Typical applications are flushing and purge water applications, gland packings, single and double mechanical seals.
