Ralston Instruments

Ralston Instruments for over 40 years engineered pressure calibration equipment and systems for a wide range of applications, saving time and taking the guesswork out of critical pressure testing, maintenance and repair operations.

About Ralston Instruments

Founded in 1969 by Doug Ralston, today Ralston Instruments continues to be a family owned company with a proud history of innovation. Responding to the demand for convenient, accurate ways to calibrate pressure instruments in industries around the globe, Ralston invented the first hand held pneumatic pump in 1969, followed by the development of the first hydraulic hand pump in 1970.

That passion for advancing pressure calibration components remains undiminished. In 1993, RI launched the first fully integrated system of Quick-test™ hoses and adapters. Designed for low volume, high pressure connections to virtually any device being tested, this unique design offers secure, time-saving connections without using a wrench or thread sealant. Ralston’s integrated calibration pressure sources are the ultimate solution for performing differential or static pressure calibrations using nitrogen or compressed gas.

All Ralston products are made in the USA using superior design and manufacturing techniques. These products include hand pumps, compressed gas control devices, hoses, adapters, and complete calibration kits.

When the job requires hand pumps that deliver pressure, hoses and adapters for fast, fail-safe connections, or precision calibration tools, Ralston Instruments provides the most complete pressure calibration solutions whether in the laboratory or in a remote location.

Ralston Instruments Products

Ralston Quick-test™ Connection System

Universal pressure hose system, for use with any standard connection. Standard Quick-test™ hoses handle up to 6,900 psi of working pressure, while our Quick-test XT™ hoses can handle 10,000 psi. Create instant pressure to your device under test without wasting gas or liquid on large volume hoses. Engineered to maintain pressure regardless of twists and turns.

  • Low volume, quick connect high pressure hoses for pressure testing, calibration, and leak testing.
  • Leak-free high pressure hose fittings for instant connections with no wrench or thread tape.
  • Compatible with all standard process connections.

Adapt to Any Situation

Equip your Ralston Quick Test high pressure hoses with quick-connect adapters for direct connection to Male or Female NPT, BSPP, Tube Fittings, Metric, AN 37 Flare, and CGA 580 Fittings- Without wrench or thread tape.

Ralston Quick-test™ Microbore Calibration Hoses

Ralston Instruments Quick-test™ hoses can be attached and detached without a wrench or thread sealant while maintaining a working pressure of 6900 psi (475 bar). Quick-test hoses are small in diameter, flexible, and low in volume. These hoses provide an ideal way of transmitting pressure during a vacuum or pressure calibration. A wide variety of adaptors provide a connection for most calibration applications.

Low Volume — High Stability

Create instant pressure to your device under test without wasting gas or liquid on large volume hoses. Engineered to maintain pressure regardless of twists and turns.

Pressure Gauge Calibration

Ralston Instruments is known for making precision pressure gauge calibration equipment of the highest quality that is intricately designed to function clearly and accurately, even in the most extreme conditions.

FieldLab Digital Pressure Calibrator

The FieldLab Digital Pressure Calibrator is the first laboratory-grade pressure calibrator made to work like you do – no matter where you do it. It is an intrinsically safe device that is ideal for a wide variety of environments including Zone 0 hazardous locations. The intuitive design makes it easy to create, plan, and run tests, and the FieldLab and FieldLab Digital Pressure Calibrator Software work together seamlessly to standardize work flows and distribute test requirements to teams.

Digital Pressure Gauges

Our Digital Pressure Gauges calibrate pressure instruments accurately and reliably, whether you’re out in the field or in a laboratory. Both the measurement and display of pressure values are combined in one easy-to-read, compact device. The unparalleled accuracy and functionality of this product make it one of the best in the market today.

FieldLab Digital Pressure Calibrator: Applications

FieldLab boasts an immense 2,000,000 point memory. This feature allows you to use the calibrator equipment in tests that demand customized durations and logging intervals. When time is a concern, this digital pressure gauge calibrator can help you record tests quickly and easily.

Calibration Test Pumps

High-precision calibration & pressure testing is the key to success in the oil & gas industry. Ralston Instruments provides intelligently designed, high-quality pressure calibration test pumps that are necessary to capture an accurate sequence of measurements. For quick connectivity and effective results, use our standard Ralston Quick-test™ adapters with field-tested pressure test pumps.

Hydraulic Calibration Test Pumps

Hydraulic test pumps are an integral part of any calibration system or pressure testing. The high-performance, rugged hand pumps ensure reliability and ease-of-use. These hand-operated calibration test pumps are used to generate high-level calibration pressure up to 700 bar (10,000 psi).

The portable device is an ideal tool to calibrate pressure transducers, pressure gauges, pressure switches, and pressure transmitters. It is compatible to use with different liquids.

Pneumatic Scissor Hand Pumps

Ralston Pneumatic Scissor Hand Pumps are hand-operated, portable, and durable. The device has a range of applications, including pressure testing, calibration, and custody transfer. It is ideal for use in the oil & gas industry, and other applications where calibration and pressure testing is necessary. It can generate pressure up to 45 bar (650 psi).

Pneumatic Pressure and Vacuum Test Pumps

Our pneumatic calibration test pumps can generate vacuum and pressure with ease and precision. Portable and hand-operated, the device has dual-pressure output and built-in vent valve that enables simple & safe operations. Pneumatic test pumps are commonly used to generate low calibration pressure up to 40 bar.

Pneumatic Pressure/Vacuum Calibration Test Pumps

These are one-of-a-kind calibration test pumps that can generate both pressure and vacuum using the same device. It features an ergonomic design that allows quick conversion from pressure to vacuum.

Pressure Control

Precise control of compressed gas is an intelligent approach to calibration. Ralston Instruments offers a number of pressure control devices for use in a wide range of applications and pressure levels.

Compressed Gas Volume Controller

Perform both ultra-precise low-pressure differential or high-pressure static pressure calibrations with nitrogen using the same device with an external pressure calibrator.

A conventional pressure regulator functions by filling & bleeding the pressure. Ralston compressed gas volume controller helps you seamlessly perform accurate high pressure static calibrations or low-pressure differential pressure transmitter calibration. It ensures stability and precision at any pressure level.

The Ralston ControlPak is a manual pressure controller designed for precise control over an external compressed gas source, either in the field or in the lab. With its integrated volume controller, it allows the user to manually adjust compressed gas pressure with the utmost precision and at a fraction of the cost of electronic pressure controllers.

Calibration NitroPak

Self contained nitrogen source, regulator, precision fine adjust, hoses, gauge adapters and process connections provide a complete pressure control solution for doing nitrogen calibration of pressure instruments in remote locations.

The fully integrated compressed gas source kit has everything you need to perform calibration in remote locations. Ralston NitroPak includes a compressed gas cylinder, hoses, pressure regulator, and adapters. It ensures quick set up and accurate compressed gas pressure control, despite difficulties working in a remote location.

Calibration Manifolds

An excellent solution for doing static pressure calibrations with compressed nitrogen gas. Brass and stainless steel manifolds are available to provide solutions for every type of environment. The most economical way of performing static pressure calibrations in the field using nitrogen or other compressed gas.

Ralston pressure calibration manifolds are made using highest grade materials to perform unmatched static pressure calibrations in the field or in the shop. It provides fine control over a compressed device, irrespective of the device being controlled.
