We have a highly competent and experienced team of design engineers who are able to design both standard and bespoke cost effective solutions, adding value for the benefit of our customers. Over the years the company has developed a depth of experience within different market sectors allowing solutions to be designed to meet the needs of our customers and conform to the industry specifications. Using the very latest design and analysis modelling software allows us to produce innovative designs prior to commencement of any manufacturing.

Manufacturing

Our manufacturing plant includes a wide range of CNC and conventional machine tools, paint shop, assembly and testing facilities to enable us to produce our full range of products, from the smallest component, up to cylinders of over 1000 mm diameter. Our planning control system manages all customer orders and schedules material and purchasing requirements.

Quality Management

HELIS High Flow Poppet Solenoid Valve

Our core product ranges of hazardous and safe area valves are available with a complete range of approved pilot solenoid operators. The innovative designs include valves for high flow applications and valves for operation across a wide temperature range.

  • 1/4″ to 2” ports
  • Superior high flow up to Cv 70
  • Certified by TUV Rheinland, the valves are suitable for use in a safety instrumented system up to SIL 2 acc. IEC61508 and IEC61511

Designed for direct mounting onto 1/4 turn pneumatically operated valve actuators, meeting ‘Namur’ standards.

  • 1/8”, 3/8”, 1/4″ and 1/2” ports
  • 3/2 or 5/2 functions from the same valve, using interface plates
  • Exhaust to spring (ETS) feature in the 3/2 versions to protect actuator spring from corrosion
  • High flow versions, CV ≥ 1

Pneumatrol Valve comprehensive range of safe and hazardous area approved solenoid operators (ExnA, Exm, Exme, Exd and Exia) are available with various international approvals – ATEX, IECEx, FM, GOST CU TR (Russia) and NEPSI (China).

Hazardous Area Solenoids

Non-incendive coil suitable for Zone 2 areas only, manufactured in accordance with the requirements of EN/IEC60079-15 and EN/ IEC60079-31. Such that under normal operation it is not capable of igniting a surrounding explosive atmosphere and a fault capable of causing ignition is not likely to occur. Covered by BASEEFA approval, Certificate Number BAS03ATEX0296X category ExnA T4 and T6.

Pneumatrol has served the railway industry for over 50 years, specialising in design and manufacture of high integrity pneumatic components and control systems. The Sleet Brush is a unique product from Pneumatrol. It’s a track head conditioning system to clean rail lines.

The Sleet Brush is fitted to all London Underground lines that work above ground as well as to the Network Rail MPV’s and during the winter months the Sleet Brush is used to clear away sleet and snow from the third-rail power lines.

SNCF in France is using the sleet brush for the purpose of clearing the tracks of leaves and cleaning the rail head to enable track circuits to work more effectively and to improve braking efficiency.

Rail Wiper Systems

Pneumatrol is the agent for Brot Technologies in the UK, who for more than 45 years has been designing and manufacturing a range of pneumatic windscreen wiper systems, including actuators, arms, blades, command modules and pumps. Pneumatic technology means that Brot equipment has a very long life cycle in keeping with the most demanding quality standards of manufactures and rail network operators. Brot Technologies is also a supplier of spare parts to the maintenance departments of rail operators. Its wiper arms and blades can be adapted to all existing systems

Valves & Pressure Regulators

Ranging between 100mm (4”) to 1066mm (42”) diameters, our pneumatic linear valve actuators and control systems are designed and manufactured to operate rising stem valves such as gate valves, knife gate valves, globe valves and rising stem non-contact ball valves. They are specifically engineered to meet customer specific requirements for a wide range of industries including Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Petrochemical.
