Wenglor CP08MHT80 Sensor High Precision

Using Wenglor CP08MHT80 measurement and a high-resolution CMOS line and DSP technology, the Wenglor CP08MHT80 Sensor High Precision measures distance. This essentially eliminates measuring variations relating to material, colour, and brightness. The integrated analogue output can be set to either 4…20 mA (20…4 mA) or 0…10 V (10…0 V) in voltage.

Applications

Measuring Blocks of Cheese With High-Precision Laser Distance Sensors for Controlling Cutting Machines

Before cutting, it’s critical to precisely measure cheese blocks on conveyors in the food business. This makes it possible to drastically cut down on waste when the blocks are later chopped. Two high-precision laser distance sensors are positioned above and one on each side in order to do this. The volume of the cheese and, hence, the optimal frequency of the cutting knife can be calculated using the analogue measurements. A retro-reflex sensor is positioned upstream as a trigger to avoid having the measuring sensors running continuously, which reduces expenses and electricity usage.

High-Precision Laser Distance Sensors

High-precision laser distance sensors work according to the principle of angle measurement, whereby color, shape and object surface do not influence the measurement. Depending on the setting, they can be operated at very high speed or resolution. The measuring range can be selected individually within the sensor’s working range.
